Who we are

ExpaTax, based in Lisbon, Portugal. We help expats file their Portuguese tax return, the Modelo 3. For anything in this policy, email hello@expataxpt.com.

What we collect

• Your answers to the free assessment (income types, residency situation, tax year).
• Your email address, name, and an optional WhatsApp number if you give one.
• Order details: which package you picked and when.
• Analytics data via Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel, which use cookies and collect IP addresses and basic device information.

Why we collect it

Three reasons: to send you your assessment read, to follow up on orders you place, and to understand which pages and ads bring people here so we can improve them. That is the whole list.

Where it lives

Form submissions are stored in Netlify Forms. Email lives in Google Workspace. Analytics data sits with Google and Meta under their own terms.

Legal basis

Consent, when you submit a form or accept analytics cookies, and legitimate interest, for following up on an order you placed and keeping basic records of it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, a portable copy, or object to how we use it. Email hello@expataxpt.com and we will handle it. No forms, no hoops.

Retention

We delete your data on request. Otherwise we keep it while it is still relevant: an open assessment, an active order, or a filing we may need to reference for you.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with anyone beyond the services named above.

Cookies

The only cookies on this site are analytics cookies from Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel. Nothing else.
